I am working with a Housing Association who are looking to recruit a Contract Lead to cover the Cambridgeshire area. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation that is continuing to grow and is always evolving. The Contract Lead is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of a company’s repairs, maintenance, and capital component upgrade works via supporting contractors. This role ensures the service is customer-focused, efficient, and delivers value for money while adhering to key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial targets. Additionally, the Contract Lead will manage health and safety compliance and ensure that work meets technical standards and quality requirements.
This role would suit an individual with significant experience in managing contracts within the construction or property maintenance industry. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership role, enjoys ensuring customer satisfaction, and has a strong background in health and safety management. The role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Day to day responsibilities: -
- Ensure all contract terms are met, review performance, and provide reports, measuring against agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs.
- Prepare contract documentation and specifications, monitor contractual obligations, and assess potential claims.
- Oversee and control repairs, maintenance, and capital programmes and budgets, including on-site monitoring.
- Assist in budget preparation, monitor costs, and prepare reports, statistical information, estimates, and tender prices.
- Inspect work in progress and post-completion by contractors, ensuring quality, satisfaction, safety, and compliance are maintained.
Experience required: -
* Proven experience working in a similar environment whether that be in a clerk of works, trades supervisor, contract management, surveyor type of role
* Good experience of managing external subcontarctors
* Good H&S awareness
* Ideally hold a HNC in a relevant field.
