Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

Weights Attribute Engineer - Automotive - £30/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire (Hybrid Potential) - 6 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Vehicle Engineering

Position Description:
- Project management of Vehicle Weight targets and deliverables, including benchmarking for future target setting and balancing
- Cascade and track vehicle weight requirements to System level and monitoring of status by interacting with System engineers
- Co-ordinate and chair Design Efficiency Reviews, using company and competitor data, to assist engineers in vehicle light-weighting
- Status reporting and issue resolution up to management level
- Responsible for Coordination of Generation and maintenance of Vehicle Mass Properties models where required
- Conduct validation of components and vehicles
- Support Vehicle Mass Certification activity ahead of vehicle Launch as required by vehicle programme

Skills Required:
- Strong leadership and project management skills with ability to prioritise own and others time and work load.
- Mass Properties knowledge.
- Good presentation and communication skills and can deliver under pressure with challenging deadlines.

Experience Required:
- Experience of automotive vehicle engineering, in particular the control of weight and targets management.

Experience Preferred:
- Whole vehicle engineering knowledge & cross functional experience.
- Self-motivated, uses initiative and problem solver, focussed on delivering results.
- Able to deliver quality and consistency in a complex, highly demanding environment.

Additional Information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35
This is a 40 hour a week contract with a 3:30pm finish on a Friday. Hybrid potential.
Travel may be required to other of the client's Engineering and Manufacturing sites within the Midlands.
