Responsibilities:

As an autism specialist TA you will play a crucial role in providing support and fostering a nurturing learning environment that ensures every child can achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with autism, tailored to their individual needs.

* Work closely with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

* Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and support students with autism in their learning.

* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting strategies as necessary.

* Help prepare classroom materials and activites that promote an inclusive learning environment.

* Support the development of social and communication skills through activities.

* Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture by promoting understanding and acceptance of autism within the school community.

Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Enhanced DBS Check (or be willing to undertake one)

* Relevant personal or work experience supporting people with autism.

* Strong understanding of autism and strategies to support students with autism in an educational setting.

* Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students.

* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedication.

Additional Information:

* Salary: Based on M1-M6 teaching scale, measured by experience and qualifications.

* Full Time, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 3.30

* Location: Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire
