Job Title: Chef de Partie - development opportunities
Salary: Based on experience - From £29,000 per annum based on an annualised 45hr week
Reports To: Head Chef, Snr Sous Chef
Farnham Castle is a private, award winning Weddings and Events Venue, with exceptional standards of dining, hospitality and service delivered in an incredible, historic setting, by passionate and professional hospitality experts.
Summary: Using creativity and passion, oversee sections of the kitchen, whilst delivering five-star, high-quality food for weddings and events at this premium, private, iconic event venue.
Uphold the kitchens reputation and allowing an expanding clientele and long-term success. An enthusiasm to learn and develop in all areas of responsibility within the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook and present menus within the varied events we deliver
* Look after a particular area of the kitchen on rotation. Take control and responsibility of services
* Help the Head Chef and Snr Sous Chef develop new dishes and menus whilst offering suggestions of your own
* Assist with managing and training junior kitchen staff
* Be aware of profit margins and keep waste to a minimum
* Comply with food hygiene and health & safety regulations and standards, including but not limited to, kitchen equipment, food preparation, allergens, COSHH and manual handling.
* Assist in ordering and receiving deliveries and ensure correct stock rotation
General Responsibilities:
* Deliver quality food and excellent customer service
* Be efficient, organised and work well within a team
* Adhere to company policies
