Electrical Project Shift Engineer – Continental Shift – Commercial Bank – Liverpool Street, London – Up to £50,000
My client is looking for four project shift engineers electrically bias to be based in a commercial bank in Liverpool Street, London. The successful candidates will be Electrically biased (C&G / NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial project works . Working with the Project team on site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical or mechanical installation work to the following. In return, the company offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000, further training and career progression.

AP training, £2,500 a year once AP

Hours of work
Continental Shift - 4 nights, 4off, 3 days, 3 nights, 6off, 4 days - 07:00am - 19:00pm / 19:00am - 07:00am
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Carrying out the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, panels, lighting, power distribution, and control systems
Installing and configuring electrical equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and motors according to design specifications
Performing regular maintenance checks on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns, including inspecting, cleaning, and replacing parts as needed
Installing upgrades or modifications to existing electrical systems, ensuring that new components integrate seamlessly with older systems
Approve Safe Systems of Work (SSoWs) and ensure contractor compliance.
Issue permits and conduct health and safety assessments for project activities.
Monitor contractors to ensure adherence to SSoWs and safety standards.
Inspect and approve completed works for quality and compliance.
Escort contractors and ensure compliance with site safety protocols.
Assess risk assessments and provide appropriate permits for safe execution.
Execute electrical isolation procedures and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Lead pipework modifications to enhance system performance and compliance.
Plan and install valves, adhering to engineering standards and safety regulations.
Oversee BMS upgrades, integrating new systems with existing infrastructure.
Pump panel installations, ensuring optimal performance and maintenance.
Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates.
Work with internal teams and contractors to ensure project success.
Ensure projects comply with health and safety regulations and standards.
Monitor project quality and address issues promptly.
Requirements
Electrically qualified level 3 (C&G, NVQ etc)
18th edition if electrically biased
2391 highly desired
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, generators, UPS, and electrical distribution.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
Competence in using project management software and tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with external contractors.
