Our client is currently seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. This role offers a hybrid working environment, allowing you to work both onsite and remotely, and involves critical 2nd and 3rd line support responsibilities to ensure the seamless operation of their IT infrastructure.
Infrastructure Engineer (2nd/3rd Line Support)
Newcastle/Hybrid
£30,000 - £40,000
Main Duties:
Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for IT infrastructure, resolving complex issues and ensuring minimal downtime.
Manage and maintain servers, networks, and storage systems.
Perform system upgrades, installations, and configurations as required.
Monitor system performance and optimize for efficiency and reliability.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems promptly and effectively.
Collaborate closely with other IT team members to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.Tech Stack:
Windows Server
Office 365
VMware or Hyper-V virtualization platforms
Networking technologies (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs)
Backup and disaster recovery solutions
