My client is recruiting for a Detailed Draughtsperson who will be responsible for producing a high standard of general arrangements and layout drawings to standard engineering practice, detailed drawings for manufacture, including producing detailed material profiles for CNC laser cutting
* Their ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering qualification or demonstrable experience. They will have a sound knowledge of fabricating, welding, and machining processes along with a good understanding of materials handling equipment, from both technical and manufacturing aspects, (screw conveyors, mixers, belt conveying, metering feeders, discharging aids)
* You’re required to have excellent 2D (essential) & 3D (desirable) draughting skills whilst the ability to interpret P&ID drawings would be advantageous.
The duties of the role are:
* Interpreting contract documentation and specifications ensuring that technical drawings are produced
* Taking part in production/project review meetings to ensure timescales are adhered to
* Producing a high standard of 2D general arrangements and layout drawings for manufacture
* Producing a high standard of 2D detailed drawings to enable engineering tradespersons to manufacture machined and fabricated parts
* Producing sheet/plate pattern development profiles for laser cutting and fabricating
* Liaising with sales, project teams and management
* Creating parts lists, bills of materials and identifying materials and proprietary items to be purchased for manufacture to ensure timely arrival of required materials
* Meeting and improving costs where applicable and feasible using recognised cost analysis methods
* Developing new innovative products to supplement the existing product range
