Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Are you looking for a new challenge as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer? We are working with a leading food processing company who are looking to add to their night shift team.
In the role you will provide engineering support to all factory areas to ensure that all breakdown, PPM, and improvement work is carried out to required standards. It is paramount to minimise machine downtime and improve efficiencies throughout the factory.
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve equipment faults, ensuring all actions meet high standards
Drive innovation by recommending and implementing improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
Collaborate effectively in meetings, working alongside production teams to increase OEE and operational success
Efficiently dismantle and reassemble production equipment, maintaining minimal downtime
Accurately document all tasks completed through comprehensive job report sheets
Provide detailed breakdown reports for all maintenance work, ensuring clear communication of issues and resolutions
Manage parts inventory with precision, ensuring correct documentation when using resources from the stores department
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, contributing to the growth and evolution of our operations
Engage in special projects, bringing your expertise to critical initiatives as required
Collaborate with contractors, ensuring smooth and effective partnership in all tasks
Maintain a high standard of hygiene and health and safety practices, leading by example
Contribute to fabrication tasks across the business, showcasing your versatility
Support the company’s risk management strategy, playing a key role in safeguarding operations
Person Specification
Completed a recognised apprenticeship to ONC/HNC level or equivalent, with a strong track record in electrical control (PLCs, contactors, relays, safety circuits, etc.)
A mechanical and electrical bias is desirable, with competency in both areas
Brings essential experience from working in a food production environment, understanding the unique challenges and standards of the industry
Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits
Competitive Salary
Night Shift – 4 ON / 4 OFF
6pm to 6am
33 daysannual leave including bank holidays, pro rata for people on 4 on 4 off shift
