My client in Southampton is looking to appoint an Occupational Therapist to join the Children's Services for a 3 month initial contract.

You'll work within a service that provides coordinated assessment, care planning and therapeutic intervention for children and young people with multiple and complex disabilities.

Rate: £30 - £36 p/h
Location: Southampton (must be onsite of a minimum 3 days a week)
Contract: 3 month initial contract with the view of extension
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 -17:00About the role:

Assess needs of disabled children and young people for personal independence, alongside team members and related professionals.
Deploy resources under the Senior Occupational Therapist's guidance, ensuring risk assessment meets departmental priorities and statutory requirements.
Assist in recruitment and development of Occupational Therapy Assistant staff under the Senior Occupational Therapist's direction.
Recommend and provide specialised equipment to disabled children and young people, offering guidance on its use to them and their carers.About you:

Must have at least Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and have HCPC registration.
A sound awareness of the additional needs of children with complex disabilities.
An understanding of the minor and major disabled adaptations that can benefit children with complex disabilities.How to apply
