Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Drafting Engineer to join our clients dynamic engineering team. This full-time position is based in Hinckley and involves creating manufacturing drawings from 3D models for release to production at designated suppliers. The role requires collaboration with our UK team to address supplier drawing queries.

In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in acoustic engineering, with a pathway to transition into a Customer Support Engineer role within approximately 24 months, contingent on personal progress against the training plan.

Package:

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000
Bonus: 10% Each Year
Extremely generous pension plan
Early finish on a Friday Key Responsibilities:

Produce and prepare 3D Creo and 2D AutoCAD models, ensuring drawings are generated within budgeted hours.
Collaborate with the UK team to resolve any drawing-related queries from suppliers.
Coordinate with the engineering process and manage relationships with the sub-contract supply chain to ensure engineering information is accurate, clear, and delivered on time.
Engage with global teams on outsourced projects, ensuring alignment and efficiency. Education and Experience:

Essential: HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Desirable: Relevant engineering degree. Technical Skills:

Essential: Experience with manufacturing processes in an engineering environment, 3D packages including CREO/SolidWorks, and AutoCAD 2D design packages.
Desirable: Knowledge of acoustical silencers, filters, and experience in the power generation or related markets. Additional Requirements:

Essential: High-level communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills. Flexible approach with the ability to work under pressure. Must be willing to travel within the UK and abroad, with a valid driving license.
Desirable: Experience in project management, client relationship management, and presentation skills. Why Join Us?
