Job Overview: Working alongside our client, an established technical injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their team.

Role:

* As a Quality Manager you will play a key role in ensuring quality is upheld throughout the production facility, responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control measures, conducting audits, managing documentation and ensuring continuous improvement.

* This role requires a strong understanding of quality management systems and a passion for ensuring products meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct internal audits (ISO 9001 & IATF16949)

* Host and participate in 3rd party & customer audits (ISO 9001, IATF, VDA, Customer Specific)

* Develop Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documents

* Create FMEA, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for variables & attributes.

* Create process flowcharts

* Manage and respond to customer complaints (root cause analysis, 8D problem-solving)

* Manage supplier quality

* Read and interpret engineering drawings

* Inspect parts, identify faults, and make decisions on disposition

* Use various measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer gauge, Faro arm, laser & probe)

* Oversee calibration procedures

* Attend Gauge R&R (GR&R) reviews

* Maintain accurate records and manage document control, use MS Office Suite (particularly Excel) for data analysis

* Participate in Management Review meetings

* Prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assist others

* Manage and develop a Quality Engineer and QC Inspector as part of the Quality team

* Proven experience of quality engineering / management within manufacturing

* A recognised technical qualification, Degree, HND or similar

* Knowledge of injection moulding processes would be beneficial but not essential

* Experience of working with quality management systems and processes (ISO9001 & IATF16949)

* Experience in the operation of technical measuring equipment

* experienced in the use of quality tools – FMEA, PPA, MSA, Control plans.

* Excellent analytical and communication skills

* Good people management skills

* Ability to meet deadlines and manage own workload

* Flexible and able to react to changing customer requirements
