We are recruiting for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant in North Manchester to start ASAP in September!

Role - SEND Teaching Assistant at special needs high school in North Manchester.

Times - Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:15pm.

Contract - Start ASAP in September 2024, full time & long term. Expected to go perm for the right person.

Pay - Up to £95/day for first 12 weeks, equal pay to permanent staff from 13th week.

Paid PAYE via Tradewind, we don't use umbrella companies!
Supporting pupils with Autism, Complex Needs and Severe Learning Disabilities.
Some pupils with require support with Personal Care tasks such as moving, changing, toileting, feeding & personal hygiene.
Working in small groups and 1:1 at times.
Teamwork with the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants.
Managing emotions and behaviour so that teacher can focus on learning.
Supporting the class teacher in the implementation & progress of Individual Education Plans.
Liaising the outside professionals and parents when required.
Reporting on progress and incidents.

All students have an EHCP for Autism, Complex Needs or Severe Learning Disabilities.
Most students working at lower levels than expected for their age.
Class sizes of no more than 8 pupils including TA support.

To join us and be successful in this Special Needs Teaching Assistant role in Manchester, you will need to:

Have an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the Update Service (or be happy to pay for a new one).
Minimum of two professional references checks.
Provide a CV with full education & work.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
Some experience supporting children with special needs.
Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
