Fire Safety Manager

Location: Plymouth

Salary: £52-53,000 per annum + excellent company benefits

Are you an experienced Fire Safety professional looking to make a significant impact? We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Fire Safety Manager to join a reputable housing organisation. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in fire safety management, particularly within residential settings, who is eager to lead and develop fire safety strategies that ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure full compliance with UK fire safety legislation and associated building regulations.

* Develop, manage, and review fire safety strategies, policies, and procedures.

* Conduct fire risk assessments, inspections, and audits, ensuring all findings are actioned within prescribed timescales.

* Lead engagement with residents, ensuring their safety concerns are addressed and communicated effectively.

* Liaise with fire safety authorities and represent the organization in external forums when required.

* Manage and develop a team of fire safety supervisors, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.

* Oversee emergency preparedness, including the development of fire safety plans and providing expert advice in emergencies.

* Deliver fire safety training to staff and residents, ensuring awareness of the latest practices and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire safety management, ideally within residential or housing settings.

* Comprehensive knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Building Safety Bill.

* Proven track record of implementing fire safety policies and managing remediation works.

* Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

* Relevant qualifications in fire safety management and completion of UK fire safety courses are essential
