We are recruiting a Fitout Project Manager with industrial experience on for a large storage unit development in Barking, East London. Our Client is a Main Contractor with continous work in London and home counties.
This position can be either freelance or permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the fitout phase of an industrial unit project in Barking, ensuring that all works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Coordinate and oversee all on-site activities, including subcontractor management, material procurement, and scheduling.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site protocols.
* Conduct regular progress meetings with stakeholders, providing updates on timelines, costs, and any potential issues.
* Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure the project is executed as per design and client requirements.
* Monitor and manage site logistics, ensuring efficient delivery of materials and equipment.
* Manage project documentation, including daily reports, RFI logs, and change orders.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in fitout projects, preferably within industrial or commercial sectors.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, with a focus on fitout and finishing works.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications are essential
