Job Opportunity: Clinical Psychologist (Temporary)
Position: Clinical Psychologist
Contract: Temporary, 3-month contract.
Possibility of Extension: Yes, based on performance
Pay Rate: £36.11 Per Hour PAYE, UMBRELLA available upon request
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: SM4 5DX
Job Purpose:
Working as part of an integrated health and social care team and contributing to team functions as is expected of all MDT colleagues including attending team meetings and relevant training.
Working autonomously carrying a Psychology caseload (assessments and therapeutic work) and also working as part of the Behavioural Support Team
Supporting colleagues in the development of a new health and social care mini-service for people with autism
Support and consultation with professionals within the team about psychological interventions and formulations, case discussions and facilitating a reflective practice group
Having expertise in undertaking assessments including diagnostic assessment of learning disability, dementia assessment, mental capacity assessment, functional assessments and creating PBS plans
Having expertise in doing 1:1 therapy work with people with learning disabilities and working with families and carers and wider systems
This post is based at Merton Civic Centre and you need to undertake clinical visits across the borough.Qualifications and Experience:
Experience working as a qualified clinical psychologist with adults with learning disabilities and with people with autism (with/without learning disabilities
Experience working using a PBS framework and advising around behavioural support
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
