A little about us

Established in 2019, we are a small family run childcare provider based in South Croydon and have a rating of ‘Good’ by Ofsted. We adopt a caring and nurturing approach celebrating the uniqueness of each child in a safe ‘home from home’ setting.

We focus on building close working relationships with parents and this positive collaboration helps us effectively tailor each child’s learning development. We are rapidly expanding and we are highly recommended by our clients.

We value each and every member of our staff team and the variety of contributions each member brings. We view our staff members as our extended family and most of our staff have worked with us for several years.

We are open 50 weeks of the year.

Role and responsibilities include:

* To support the day to day running of the setting

* Manage and supervise children in the setting

* To support colleagues and work as part of a team to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children (aged 0-5years)

* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning, development and independence

* Cleaning and following procedures required to maintain a healthy environment

* Communicate effectively and professionally with parent handovers and colleagues

* To complete and keep up to date key children developmental records

* To complete and keep up to date daily online care diary on Tapestry

* To work as part of a team to ensure that Ofsted standards are followed at all times

* Assist in the continuous improvement in childcare practices

* Complying with Health and Safety at Work legislation

* Attending ongoing training (in-house and courses) to support CPD

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

We would like practitioners to have previous experience of working in a nursery setting and a good understanding of the EYFS, with a minimum relevant Level 3 qualification. Also:

* A minimum of 1 to 2 years previous experience of working in a nursery setting.

* Experience of working with the EYFS

* IT proficient for writing reports/updating online journals

* In-depth understanding of children’s development and their emotional, physical and intellectual needs

* Physical fitness to lift and handle children and equipment

* Good time management skills

* Ability to work well in a team

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Professional conduct

Job type: Permanent / Full-time

- Ability to manage and engage with children of various ages

- Qualifications in Early Childhood Education would be advantageous

Pay: £20,000 - £30,000

Schedule:

Monday to Friday – 8am-6pm

Licence/Certification:

Driving Licence (preferred)

Paediatric First Aid Certification (preferred)
