NeuroSupport services are currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants with a background of Brain Injury and Mental health experience to support services users with an acquired Brain Injury. Our service aims to support rehabilitation and in enabling people to optimise independence and quality of life.

We are looking for psychology graduates,support Workers and Healthcare Assistants or suitable candidates who would be willing to support people both within their home environment and also willing to provide support in helping service users access the community. We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently and providing empirical feedback where necessary.

THIS IS A UK BASED POSITION

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE ,IT IS MANDATORY THAT:

* YOU HAVE UK WORK EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE

* YOUR CV CLEARLY SHOWS YOUR RELEVENT EXPERIENCE WHICH RELATES TO THE POSITION YOU ARE APPLYING FOR.

* EXPERIENCE IN BRAIN INJURY SUPPORT

* A FULL CLEAN UK DRIVERS LICENCE AND ACCESS TO A CAR YOU CAN USE FOR WORK

Job Title: Female Therapy Assistant/Support worker
Location: Reading, RG45
Hourly Rate: £12-£14 per hour depending on experience.
Driver Essential? Yes
Gender Preference:This role is open to *Male/Female* applicants only.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours:

Monday: 3 hours (times tbc, but will be in the afternoon)

Tuesday: 3 hours (times tbc, but will be in the afternoon)

Wednesday: 3 hours (times tbc, but will be in the afternoon)

Thursday: 3 hours (times tbc, but will be in the afternoon)

Friday: 3 hours (times tbc, but will be in the afternoon)

About you-Essential Experience:

- Female - due to potential need to assist with changing after activities such as
swimming.
- A car driver with use of a suitable vehicle: EMW will need to be driven to activities and
currently family vehicles are in use during the day.
- Shared interests, such as animals and motor sports.
- Recruitment using a specialist brain injury support agency is recommended. Using
someone with relevant experience and an understanding of the challenges of brain
injury will reduce the level of additional training required.
- EMW will need to be involved in the recruitment process and it is recommended that
trial shifts are considered to allow EMW the opportunity to make an informed choice.

About our client:

Client is 19, and her preference is for a younger support worker, who has a fun and bubbly personality, whom she will engage with and shares her passion for animals and
preferable motorbikes (but not essential).

Successful Candidates will:

* Have access to full Training - including Brain Injury Awareness Training

* CPD opportunities

* Will be subject to Full Enhanced DBS

* Competitive Hourly Rate

* Gain Experience working with an MDT

* Have at least six months experience of working in a support worker role or similar, in the past three years.

* Must have a Full UK Driving License and access to your own car

* Have Experience in the field of Psychology

* Willing to become self-employed
