Job Title: Town Planner | Senior Town Planner
Location: Warwickshire, Rugby
The Company:
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading consultancy firm with a strong reputation for delivering innovative planning solutions across the UK. The Rugby office is at the forefront of exciting and diverse projects, ranging from residential developments to commercial and mixed-use schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications, ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies.
Conduct site appraisals and feasibility studies.
Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to provide expert planning advice.
Contribute to the development and implementation of planning strategies for various projects.
Support senior planners in larger projects while independently handling smaller-scale projects.
Prepare reports and deliver presentations to clients and planning committees.Requirements:
A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a planning role, preferably within a consultancy or local authority.
Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and procedures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Membership or working towards membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is desirable.What's On Offer?
