About The Role
Overview
As we develop our food manufacturing business through Myton Food Group, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Technical Manager to shape and execute the Technical function at our Thrapston site, one of the UK’s biggest fruit packing operations. Serving Morrisons and a growing number of external customers, the successful individual will have a proven track record in leading the technical function for a diverse produce operation and will be looking to grow their career as we grow the business.
This pivotal role involves driving food quality and improved satisfaction for our customers whilst also overseeing Food Safety, legality and integrity across our produce manufacturing site in high risk (nuts) and low risk areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the Technical strategy for the Thrapston site, working closely with the Myton Food Group Produce division, aligning with commercial, operational and broader business goals.
Lead Site Technical and Hygiene teams to deliver vertically integrated products for own brand and 3rd party customers.
Drive culture change programmes for quality delivery and new business projects.
Ensure safe, legal, high-quality products, guarding against customer illness, fines, adverse publicity, and brand damage.

About You
Key Requirements

In-depth knowledge of food manufacturing processes, produce quality and food safety controls, and legislation.
Experience in working with At Source, site technical, procurement and operational teams
Strong leadership skills with experience in large and multi-site leadership.
Ability to drive performance improvement and manage change at pace.
Excellent communication, engagement, and motivational skills.
Recognized qualifications in Microbiology, Food Science, Food Technology, Lead Assessor, and HACCP.Key Relationships:

Suppliers, Technical Colleagues, Retail, Procurement, Commercial, Operations and Regulatory agencies
Industry Specialists, Trade Bodies, and Service ProvidersIn return:
