Job Title: EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Sutton, UK

School: ASD and Speech and Language Primary School

Start date : September 2024

Position Overview: We are working with an Outstanding SEN school that are seeking a dedicated and compassionate EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This is a specialized primary school in Sutton, focusing on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech and language needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of young children while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to young children with ASD and speech and language needs in an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting.
Assist the classroom teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and daily lesson plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of all students.
Utilize specialized strategies and resources to support communication and learning for children with speech and language difficulties.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Engage in collaborative planning and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children with ASD and speech and language needs, preferably in an educational setting.
Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN) or early years education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Salary:

£85 to £90 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
