Pay: £85 to £90 per day PAYE

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Norwood. The successful candidate will support a boy in Year 1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping him to engage fully in the school day and achieve his potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to a Year 1 student with ASD, ensuring his needs are met.
Assist with classroom activities and encourage participation.
Implement strategies to manage behaviour and support emotional regulation.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials and activities.
Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to parents and staff.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly ASD.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs.
Training in ASD-specific interventions and strategies.
