Job Title: Technical Support Engineer – Industrial Control Systems

Salary: £Excellent

Location: Manchester (Hybrid) – 2-3 days a week in the office.

Job Start date: ASAP

Shift Pattern: Days, 8:30am – 5pm

We’re supporting our client, a global leading technology company based in Manchester, who are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Technical Support Engineer will ideally have industry experience in the Automation sector OR Qualified to NVQ / HND / HNC / Degree level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

We are looking for a skilled PLC or SCADA engineer to join our Technical Support team. If you thrive in a flexible working environment this is a fantastic opportunity to join the most innovative and global leader in Industrial Control and Automation. This role will suit someone from a Maintenance / Controls / Engineering / Electrical / PLC background, who is looking to move into an office based environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand their technical knowledge in the company products, no matter the starting point, whilst developing valuable communication skills.

Responsibilities for Technical Support Engineer:

* Provide telephone, email and remote diagnostic support for our partners and customers.

* Apply knowledge and questioning techniques to identify, diagnose and resolve customers’ problems.

* Co-ordinate issues requiring escalation to headquarters.

* Enhance the quality of service delivered to customers.

* The successful candidate would be part of a strong dedicated team.

About You:

* Industry experience in the Automation sector OR Qualified to NVQ / HND / HNC / Degree level in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

* Excellent interpersonal skills.

* A good understanding of IT concepts including Security, Databases and Operating Systems is desirable.

* Candidates must also be IT literate
