Welder / Fabricator
Due to expansion and growth permanent positions have arisen for Welders Fabricators . . Please note that the main base for this role will be East Lothian
The Role:
Carry out but welds in S460 pipe -
Welding processes are mainly MIG, both solid and flux core on mild steel, Also MIG on aluminium.
Working hours: Working hours are either dayshift 07:00 to 17:15 Monday to Thursday or Nightshift 20:45 to 07:00 Monday to Thursday, 39 hours + Overtime on offer
Rate of Pay: Days £22 per hour - Nights £27 per hour + Overtime (Dependant on experience)
(Valid coding - Advantageous but not essential)
Primary Objectives
Welding and fabrication in workshop and site.
Working knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural welding/fabrication works and standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality. Working knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural fabrication works and standards.
· Act with honesty, integrity and accountability
· Ability to work well in a team
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential at least 4 years’ experience in the above role.
Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role and may include:
· Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
· Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
· Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG)
· Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
· Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding
· Machine/workshop power tools and machinery.
Experienced working with a variety of materials to include mild steel, austenitic stainless steel and aluminium.
