Warehouse and Production Operatives - global manufacturer - excellent training and development opportunities
Client Details
Michael Page Logistics have partnered with a leading global manufacturer in Camrbidge in search for proactive and experienced Warehouse and Production Operatives. The Warehouse and Production Operatives will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of their warehouse and production, coordinating with the team internally and timely packing and handling of goods. This position involves working on a weekly rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm - 6am. The role is initially for 12 months fixed term contract which could lead to it being extended or be made permanent.
Description
The Warehouse and Production Operatives will be responsible for the below:
Manage and organise warehouse inventory to optimise space and accessibility
Support the production team in ensuring timely packing and delivery of products
Maintain meticulous records of stock, deliveries, and dispatches
Implement and adhere to safety and hygiene regulations within the warehouse
Assist in periodic inventory audits to maintain accuracy
Coordinate with the logistics team to facilitate smooth operations
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department
Undertake any other duties as assigned in the packing departmentProfile
The Warehouse and Production Operatives will have the following skills and experience:
An educational background in logistics, supply chain management, manufacturing or a related field
Proven experience in a warehouse or production environment
Sound knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures
Strong organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in using warehouse management or any ERP software like SAP
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to commit to work on a weekly rotating shift pattern
Ability to commute to their siteJob Offer
