Abatec is currently looking for a Mechanical Technician for our client based in Swindon.
Working as part of a multi-skilled and disciplined engineering team, your ultimate objective is to ensure the smooth running of all production and assembly.
This will include: responding to breakdowns- reactive maintenance, conducting servicing on machinery- planned maintenance, assembly, building and general maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance & repairs on equipment and machinery
* Assemble and build mechanical parts and components
* Following engineering drawings and specifications
* Inspect parts for defects and ensure quality standards are met
* Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace within the warehouse environment
Experience
* Mechanical engineering experience
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks
* Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting
* Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
