Role Description
Female Support Worker - Physical disabilities and acquired brain injury

Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire

Salary: £12.49 per hour plus benefits, paid induction, additional sleeping nights for £50 per night, overtime pays above 37.5 contracted hours on weekends
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis

Shift patterns: 7.00am – 2:30pm, 2.30pm – 10.00pm

We are looking for female support workers who are calm, patient and resilient. You’ll need to have a consistent approach to supporting people to do the things they love and have big ambitions for themselves.
As a support worker, you’ll be part of an experienced staff team working within a busy and vibrant home where no two days are the same.

Support worker duties include:
Daily activities such as personal care, cooking meals, basic cleaning tasks, medication administration (after completing relevant training), food shopping and health appointments with people you support.
Providing support for anything people want to do away from home, like socialising, meals out, having fun at karaoke, swimming, the cinema, you name it! You could even support people to go away on holiday and live their best life!
Safeguarding people as they go about their lives.
Helping people to plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims.
Ensuring people you support and their families are treated with respect, dignity and equality.
To embody SeeAbility’s values.We are looking for someone for 37.5 per week on a shift rota basis, covering mornings, evenings and weekends.
As a support worker you will work closely with the management team, support from a positive behaviour support consultant and colleagues to ensure that we are delivering the best person-centred care. You’ll ensure outstanding delivery of support in line with our vision to create inclusive communities where everyone can participate as equal citizens.

Who will you be supporting?
The team supports up to five people, who have a variety of health conditions from acquired brain injury, stroke, dementia and other physical disabilities. You will be supporting people with all aspects of life from personal care, cooking, cleaning, and day to day supporting people to live the life they choose. There are some people who have behaviours of concern, but you will be surrounded by a supportive team and will have training to be confident in providing the right support.
