Insight Executive are working with a leading FM Service Provider on one of their prestigious TFM accounts in Central London, to recruit for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. The role of Senior Mechanical Engineer is to oversee the safe and effective provision of planned and reactive maintenance tasks within a corporate office setting.
This role is working to a split shift pattern, incorporating 4 days on 3 days off per week across Monday to Saturday. This is a working supervisory role participating in a shift rota as directed by the Technical Services Manager.
The duties of the role:
* Ensure client equipment and systems operate correctly, escalating issues as needed.
* Assist in prioritising work orders, communicating repair requirements with Helpdesk and end users.
* Diagnose faults and repair assets within your technical capability.
* Quality assure technical activities against Global Engineering Standards and industry best practice.
* Build professional relationships with stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and teams.
* Support the training and development of staff within the team.
* Maintain awareness of cost/benefit and sustainability in technical services delivery.
The person specification:
* Technical competence with NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications, preferably within a mechanical discipline.
* Practical technical skills and current working knowledge of engineering standards and best practice.
* Practical experience of working independently in a technical maintenance environment
* Practical experience of working to health and safety standards
* IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office applications and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
* Ability to self-manage and self-plan workload to meet set deadlines.
* Ability to communicate with customers and team members
