Microsoft System Administrator/3rd Line Support - Brussels

Languages: ENGLISH only

*Security Clearance is required or to be applied for prior to commencement of contract*

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 4+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience in deployment of Windows 10 in large environments.
  • Proven experience in managing GPOs, PKI, MDT, Bitlocker.
  • Experience working with McAfee ePO server.
  • Experience in automating OS deployments, re-installations or migrations.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining Reference Configuration PC image.
  • Experience of App-V administration and maintenance, configuration and packaging.
  • Experience in providing support for enterprise environment.
  • Experience in automation/industrialization of installation packages.
  • Experience in knowledge transfer and competencies to the 2nd level support.
  • Strong experience in improving operational processes through documentation and automation following ITIL methodology.
  • ITILv3 certification(s).
  • Minimum 2 technical certifications:
    • MCTS: Administering and Deploying System Center 2012+ Configuration Manager
    • MCTS: Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007+
    • Any MS Server or Client certification
    • Installing and configuring Windows 10
    • MOUS: Microsoft Office User Specialist
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office products (2K10/13/16/365).
  • Expertise in Client management and software deployment using SCCM/LANDesk or similar (installation, upgrading, patching).
  • Excellent understanding of Windows 10/7 client environment.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocol and related services in a Windows Server environment (DNS, DHCP, WINS).
  • Strong knowledge of SCCM or LANDesk or similar for Client management for monitoring, alerting and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Internet environment administration (browsers, IIS, TCP/IP), Windows configuration and troubleshooting (registry, configuration files), hardware environment interventions (PC, Server, printers, cabling), Scripting, VB and PS skills.

Description of work:

  • Participate in the 3rd line support, Problem Management and on-call standby service.
  • Follow-up of reported problems and escalated incidents .
  • Serve as technical lead for designing, planning, assessing, implementing and/or migrating of the production environment for HQ and Delegations.
  • Management of central monitoring infrastructure.
  • Implementation of test environment and "Proof of Concept" (POC).
  • Debugging and analysing of reported problems and escalated incidents.
  • Drafting operational guidelines, procedures, installation notices and scripts for the integration, installation and upgrade of aforementioned component services.
  • Assistance with roll-out of new ICT infrastructure projects.
  • Preparation and test of new reference configurations (CRB) for any supported hardware.
  • Integration and testing of new software versions, service packs and configuration changes.
  • Intervention on ICT infrastructure (workstations, peripherals, etc).
  • Perform patching and software deployments operations.
