Job: Principal Engineer - Shock and Dynamics
Location: Filton, Frimley, or Weymouth
Salary: £58,000
IO Associates is looking for a Principal Engineer for decomposing dreadnought Whole Boat Shock and EGV requirements for major systems engineers and designers, also generate derived requirements for technical specifications and reviewing supplier compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Working with Combat Systems engineering teams and reviewing their documentation.
- Reviewing and approving supplier test plans and qualification evidence.
- Presenting Shock and EGV qualification evidence to the customer.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in structural engineering and analysis techniques, including manual stress calculations and Finite Element Analysis.
- Proficiency with mathematical packages such as Mathcad or Mathematica.
- Experience with technical requirements and acceptance activities in submarine, defence, construction, or ship environments.
