Conexus are partnered with a global pharmaceutical client based in Lachen, Switzerland, and are searching for a talented Cisco Network Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. This position is 100% onsite, with travel to the clients European sites when required.

In this role, you'll focus on optimising the Cisco voice infrastructure, ensuring seamless VOIP services, and driving continuous improvement across Global IT Operations. Your expertise will be key in developing and implementing best practices that enhance the reliability and performance of the company's communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the service delivery, maintenance, and support of the global VOIP infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance in collaboration with managed service providers.
  • Manage the transition of telephony services from on-premise solutions to Cisco Cloud (Webex Calling).
  • Design, build, and optimize the global enterprise VOIP environment, including systems like CUCM, SIP CUBE, Webex Calling, and Contact Center.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, system configurations, and documentation to support seamless service transitions.
  • Handle software and hardware upgrades, life cycle management, and security patching for the Cisco voice infrastructure.
  • Proactively identify and resolve voice and video performance issues, providing Tier 3 support and acting as an escalation point for complex technical challenges.
  • Adhere to ITIL-based service management processes, contributing to incident, problem, and change management efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field with 4 years of experience in LAN/WAN/VoIP communications
  • Proficiency in Cisco Voice technologies, including CUCM, CUC, CUCCX, CUBE, Webex Control Hub, and related protocols (SIP, RTP, MGCP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with network architecture, including Cisco Routers, Ethernet Switches, access points, and security technologies like VPN/SSL.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on troubleshooting and critical thinking.
