Lead React Developer required to work with a central government department. This is an initial 12-month contract, paying £775 per day, inside IR35, hybrid working (1 day per week onsite)

Active SC clearance is required prior to starting the assignment.

Summary
The Central Operations Platform (COP) was built to ensure data capture and processing are delivered in a structured and standardised manner, enabling the business to deliver on its common goals.

It is fundamental for this platform to continue to service the objectives of this country and host forms to help with efficient data capture.

COP is a product cluster with about 7 supplier led development teams, a Live Services support team and a Platform Engineering team. COP teams have a mix of engineers from suppliers, Civil Servants and SAS engineers.

You will be working alongside other developers in development team.

Responsibilities

• Help the existing team to develop applications
• Support and development of the COP platform as part of a product centric team.
• During product development and test phases participate and contribute with specific product event, incident discovery, resolution actions and specific product development/enhancement activities.
• Manage teams that are delivering services for the COP platform
• During product live production phase, participate as part of COP team on L3 Service support events, incident discoveries, resolution actions and perform discovery, planning and implementation on specific COP led product development/enhancement activities.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Excellent React skills.
• Experience in standardising React Libraries.
• Java
• A good team player with experience of mentoring and supporting junior developers
