HR Advisor | 3 month contract + possible extensions | ASAP start | Hybrid working | Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trusted Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations, performance management, conflict management, and other ER issues, escalating to the HR Manager when necessary.
  • Disciplinary Guidance: Provide guidance on disciplinary actions and ensure consistent application of HR policies.
  • Document Preparation: Draft investigation, disciplinary, and grievance invite letters, and support with investigation and disciplinary outcome letters.
  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate HR meetings and take accurate meeting notes.
  • Recruitment Collaboration: Work with the Talent Acquisition team on the end-to-end recruitment process, including approvals, job descriptions, and posting roles.
  • Compensation and Benefits Support: Assist in administering compensation and benefits to ensure competitive and equitable practices.
  • HR Queries: Respond to emails and HR queries, distributing and actioning as appropriate.
  • HR Documentation: Prepare and distribute HR documents such as employment contracts and offer letters.
  • Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee records, both electronic and physical, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Onboarding Coordination: Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientations and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Payroll Support: Assist in the administration and preparation of payroll and respond to employee payroll queries.
  • Family-Friendly Policies: Support the administrative process for family-friendly policies.
  • Reference Management: Manage all incoming and outgoing reference requests, including those for employment, tenancy, and mortgage purposes.
  • Offboarding Facilitation: Facilitate the offboarding process for departing employees, including IT offboarding, exit interviews, and the collection of company property.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection legislation.
  • HR Projects: Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and the overall employee experience.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR team.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in HR Advisory or a similar role is preferred.
  • Qualifications: CIPD qualification is desirable.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
