Calling for a Logistics Driver with a LGV CAT C licence, looking for a new contract opportunity!
Must be eligible for UK security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Fulfil the tasks allocated by the Vehicle Coordinator and any other tasks reasonably directed by the Logistics Manager or their line management.
- Respond to the requests and requirements of the contract and customer.
- Support the safe and organised storage and movement of equipment related to delivery.
- Provide logistics support during operational hours of the contract and occasional out-of-hours.
- Move equipment, supplies and vehicles between locations as required.
- Support the recording and monitoring of equipment numbers and locations.
- Provide support to maintain preparedness of equipment, property and vehicles required to support the business needs.
- Provide support for logistics administration and management in their absence.
- Provide support for other departments, including Contract Support, Site Maintenance and Training, if needed and reasonably requested.
- Carry out personal training as agreed with, or directed by, your Line Manager or Senior Management.
- This will include the acquisition and maintenance of qualifications and competencies commensurate with the legal and safe operation of the vehicles used in the contract delivery.
- It is also necessary to maintain competencies required for working in a professional training environment as required by our client and their customers.
- To learn and use existing and new technology to support business needs.
Qualifications
- Category C driving licence
- IT literate (Basic MS Office skills).
- Able to adapt to new technology.
- Knowledge of the Geo Pal systems.
Experience
- Logistics/Supply chain delivery
- Working as a member of a team within a logistics department, or similar.
- The ability to work without supervision.
- Understanding of the Fire sector and associated vehicles and equipment.
- Current Health and Safety regulations within a practical/technical workplace.
