Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Location: Henlow
Pay Range/details: Up to £39,000 per annum.
Contract Type: Permanent
Do you want to work on vital defence industry projects, helping bring big ideas to life?
Do you want to work on end-to-end System Engineering, working on projects from concept, through to delivery?
If so, Omega is now supporting this world-leading weapons systems designer, developer, and manufacturer, searching for a Manufacturing Technician, you'll have a significant impact on our high-quality manufacturing operations. This role provides a unique opportunity to work on advanced technology and contribute to the production of exceptional products that make a difference in safeguarding lives worldwide.
Founded in 2001, after the merger of four key, global weapons manufacturers joining forces and having backing from three of the world's most well recognised and successful brands within the industry, they have gone on to become a well-respected business joining forces with various government organisations globally to enable armed forces across Land, Air, and Sea.
They offer a catalogue of various systems and solutions, all in active use within operations worldwide, and are always developing new programs and solutions to drive reliability, excellence, and experience for their customers.
Key Responsibilities – Manufacturing Technician
Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure
Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits
Possess a versatile skill base with the capacity to apply these skills across a range of tasks
Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring implements associated with the manufacturing cycle
Ensure manufacturing build, inspection and where relevant, test times are met
Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack
Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality
Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process
Maintain a safe working environment
Maintain a good housekeeping policy
Qualifications & Requirements – Manufacturing Technician
Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 and suitable Academic qualificatio
Capable of certifying the product and possess a versatile skill base, and able to use a range of tasks utilising equipment and tools, gauges and measuring instruments associated with the production, repair, and modification of company products to meet defined build standards and specification requirements
Team player who can demonstrate customer focus. They should also have proven planning and organising skills and be flexible and adaptable
