Procurement Manager

We are exclusively working with a Public Sector organisation to help recruit a Procurement Manager to join their Strategic Procurement team. They help to deliver public services across the local area, making a positive impact on the community and lives of the residents.
Your new role
Reporting into the Head of Procurement, you'll be leading the organisation's approach to the procurement of goods, works & services efficiently within the complex regulatory environment of public sector procurement.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide a strategic relationship with the senior management teams for each of the directorates in the provision of a procurement service. This will include working with managers and commissioning officers to ensure that all directorate level procurement activities are properly managed.
The categories you'll be working in include: Fleet, Regeneration, Housing, Construction, Maintenance & Commercial Estate.
What you'll need to succeed
- A relevant degree or procurement & supply chain qualification (CIPS Level 6)
- A broad understanding of the public sector procurement and Public Contract Regulations 2015
- Experience working closely with and advising Senior Leadership
- Experience in construction procurement is desirable
- Confident communication, stakeholder & supplier management skills
