Network Engineer - 6months + (Inside IR35)
Location - London, United Kingdom (Hybrid/2 days a week)
Day Rate - £310 Inside IR35

Skills Required
. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline
. An MSc degree is advantageous
. 10-15 years of professional experience in the networking domain
. Minimum of 5 years in a senior networking position, ideally within a solutions design capacity
. Proven experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly in a solutions design context
. In-depth understanding of networking technologies such as routing, switching, security/Firewalling, load-balancing, and Quality of Service (QoS)
. Hands-on experience with Nokia 7750 service Routers, Cisco IOS XR, Cisco NCS 540 and NXOS
. Familiarity with Fortinet Firewalls and F5 load-balancers is an asset
. Experience working within the Agile SAFe framework or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience
. Strong capabilities in project planning and management
. Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
. Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities
. Minimum certification of CCNP or equivalent from other vendors; CCIE or equivalent preferred
. Expertise in network troubleshooting and problem-solving
. Proficiency with network monitoring and performance analysis tools
. Experience with network automation and Scripting languages (eg, Python, Ansible) is beneficial
. Knowledge of cloud networking solutions (eg, AWS, Azure) is an advantage
. Proven ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
. Adaptability to rapidly evolving technologies and environments

Job Responsibilities
. Collaborate effectively with Scrum Masters and Project Managers to plan and run project activities on a daily, sprint, and quarterly basis
. Provide accurate resource and effort estimates to Resource Managers and Scrum Masters
. Oversee a team of network engineers, ensuring their work aligns with best practices and project requirements
. Identify, communicate, and manage risks, exceptions, or deviations from standard processes (both technical and project-related) to senior management
. Contribute valuable insights during the design phase to assist Network Designers
. Support Fulfilment Engineers in drafting and approving Methods of Procedure (MOPs)
. Assist Test Engineers in developing and approving comprehensive test plans
. Act as the primary point of escalation for project-related issues or outages
. Serve as the end-to-end solution owner, managing projects from initiation through to completion and handover across various teams and functions
. Ensure that implemented network solutions meet business goals and technical specifications
. Develop and maintain thorough documentation for network designs, configurations, and operational procedures
. Mentor and train junior network engineers to enhance their technical skills and career development
. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions and optimize network performance
. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to the engineering team to foster a culture of continuous improvement
. Participate in strategic planning and provide technical expertise to support long-term organizational goals
