SAP Senior Service Engineer - Hungary (Remote) - Freelance - 6months +

Global Enterprise Partners is currently seeking a SAP Senior Service Engineer for a client operating globally in the energy sector. This role requires collaboration with external and internal stakeholders such as the finance tech lead, product manager and SAP teams to maximise use of their systems.

• Collaborate with Finance Tech Lead and Product Manager on project planning, testing, operations, and improvements for digital products.
• Oversee the SAP Service Support for Trading & Shipping Finance.
• Act as a tech service expert, defining and operating critical IT services.
• Manage service delivery from internal teams or external providers to meet SLOs, IT outcomes, and ensure risk and resilience.
• Ensure operational compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Implement DevOps and traditional service models, working with teams to resolve customer issues and enhance delivery speed.
• Serve as a vendor manager to improve service quality and customer experience.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency.

• 5+ years of IT experience in designing, planning, implementing, maintaining, and documenting solutions.
• Proficiency in modern Service Delivery methods (eg, Site Reliability Engineering) and traditional ITIL.
• Proven experience in end-to-end project life cycle, including requirement analysis, testing, deployment, and support.
• Expertise in Change Management and Release Management.
• Experience with large-scale IT environments and multiple technologies.
• Skilled in strategic planning and portfolio management, assessing cost and operational impacts.
• Knowledge in SAP ECC and BW is a plus.
• Experience in Major Incident Management and Resolution in SAP T&S is a plus.
