Lead DevOps Specialist

Start: ASAP/Duration: 31.08.2026/Location: Remote/Berlin/ProjectID: 5131

Our client is a technology leader in the international energy supply market, which is strongly committed to the integration of renewable energies, among other things, and generates sales of + Euros 2 billion and an EBIT of + Euros 750 million. As Lead DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for driving the introduction of the group-wide DevOps initiative and become part of the energy transition along the way.

Your tasks:

• Driving the introduction and establishment of the DevOps approach and mentality within the organization
• CI/CD automation to support custom build solutions based on .NET, Java and Python
• The goal is to define and shape the processes, ways of working and frameworks for software delivery
• Hands-on leadership of the group-wide DevOps initiative
• Implementation of workflow automation according to best practice
• Definition and further development of CI/CD pipelines, the operating and governance model
• Transfer of agile know-how to the teams

Your skills:

• Degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification
• Proven several years of experience as a lead DevOps specialist in comparable projects
• Azure DevOps Server On-Prem, CI pipelines with YAML and classic, PowerShell, software development principles, GIT, SAST with SonarQube
• software composition analysis, deployment and hosting of web applications with Microsoft IIS, package management systems eg Inedo ProGet
• Ideally knowledge of Cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS), Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, GKE, Openshift, Helm, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager Templates,
• Knowledge of SCCM, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Software Defined Networks/Datacenter, Cloud Integration with On-Prem architectures is a plus
• Industry experience in the energy supply sector is a big plus
• Communicative and focused team player with a lot of initiative and enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Very good English skills must-have, German or French or Dutch skills nice-to-have
