Estimator - Civil Engineering (Highways) - Warrington

Are you an experienced Estimator looking for a new civil engineering opportunity in the Northwest?

This confidential contractor is offering an exciting permanent position in their expanding commercial team with supportive training, skills and experience development, and career progression opportunities. About the Role of Estimator

This opening is with a fantastic Civils contractor with their pre-construction office based in Warrington. They primarily specialise in Highways construction, maintenance, and repairs projects - additional contracts include; bridge repairs and maintenance, and general infrastructure.

As the Estimator, you will join a highly competent and supportive Pre-construction team on numerous highways construction/maintenance/repair projects of varying size and scale across the Northwest. Project values ranging between c.£5million - £35million.

Responsibilities for the Estimator

Analyse and interpret information including appraisal of scheme requirements in terms of construction methods, programme and compile a comprehensive net cost estimate for the works, including preliminary
Prepare and present net cost estimate for internal
Timely submission of tender, ensuring that the Clients requirements are met.
Give others an overview of the scheme, highlighting any job specific risks/benefits.
40 hours per week - flexible start/end time & Hybrid working

Requirements for a successful Estimator

UK Degree or Equivalent Qualification in Estimation or alike (Bsc, MSc, HNC, etc.)
Minimum 3 years contractor (main or sub) side experience on UK Civils Highways frameworks as an Estimator
Construction / Repairs / Maintenance preference
Desirable - Experience working on National Highways frameworks valued upwards of £10millionThis contractor places high value on the well-being of their staff and go to extra measures to ensure their employees are well supported to develop their skill-set and ability with high value civil engineering industry experience.
