Flexcube Functional Consultant
Flexcube Functional Consultant
Whitehall Resources require a Flexcube Functional Consultant to work with a key client on an initial 3 month contract.
*This is a hybrid role, with onsite work in Northamptonshire, 2-3 days per week.
*Outside IR35.
Flexcube Functional Consultant
Versions of Flexcube and OBDX are v14.5 and v21.1, respectively.
Project Objectives:
Since the Flexcube Upgrade go-live date the Bank has identified and raised over 300 defects, of which, at the time or writing, 190 are attributed to Flexcube and 101 to OBDX. The rate at which these defects have been addressed and closed by Oracle is not acceptable to the Bank, and it is having an impact on planned follower projects. At present the number and severity of the open defects far exceeds the Banks tolerance and is significantly adrift of the target exit criteria for the Hypercare period. Bank is seeking to engage the services of a Functional Consultant in support of the effective triage, remediation and closure of the remaining tranche of open defects that have been raised since the upgrade go-live date. Bank has experienced a significant change freeze, whilst working on the Flexcube Upgrade Program. There is a 'bow-wave' of regulatory changes (known as follower projects), planned for delivery in 2024 which require changes and knowledge of the Oracle estate. Bank is also seeking to engage services in support of the effective design, support and closure of follower project activities required to facilitate the delivery of these initiatives.
Scope of Work:
The delivery of this engagement is envisaged to be undertaken in conjunction and in collaboration with the Banks IT and Operational business teams. The consultants will work in close collaboration with the Bank teams to ensure effective remediation of defects, provide clear explanations of functional processes and application capabilities, aligned to Bank operational processes, and that the reasons for deficiencies or application variances from expectations are understood by end users. At a high level we need SMEs with technical and functional experience of the application versions for Flexcube and OBDX as per the briefing paper. The bias will be towards Flexcube as this is where we have experienced the majority of issues. Narrowing that down further, from a functional perspective, specific experience of UK Agency Banking and in particular, Payments processing via OBPM will be of significant importance. Technically we need PL/SQL, Java, UX & UI experience. More broadly, considering the additional follower projects mentioned in the brief, experience of or exposure to ISO20022, Confirmation of Payee, Secure Customer Authentication and Transaction Monitoring would be beneficial
Deliverables:
The target of the engagement is to support the Bank with the resolution by Oracle of the open defects such that the exit criteria for the Hypercare period is met. The acceptance criteria are such that no more than 5 Medium severity and no more than 10 Low severity defects should remain open. There should be zero (0) Critical or High severity defects.
All of our opportunities require that applicants are eligible to work in the specified country/location, unless otherwise stated in the job description.
Whitehall Resources are an equal opportunities employer who value a diverse and inclusive working environment. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, pregnancy, disability, age, veteran status, or other characteristics.
