Our consultancy client are currently looking for a number of Java developers at all levels to join the team to work on a new project with a major high street bank. Developing new applications and working on the transfer of current applications onto a new AWS architecture you will come from a FS background and have excellent knowledge of Java 8+, Spring Boot, Gradle, Maven, Mockito, Microservice architecture and an understanding of collections and concurrency in Java. Working with restful APIs with a good understanding of different databases (Relational and NoSQL). Be an expert in unit testing, static code analysis and BDD/TDD with experience in continuous integration with Git, Jenkins, Nexus. Writing highly available, maintainable and secure code you will have a good understanding of Web and Architectural design patterns as well as a good understanding of Solid Principles, OWASP, CAP Theorem and Distributed Systems Design. Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience with container technologies including Docker / Kubernetes.

Knowledge of Terraform and Event-driven architecture, Golang and having participated in redesigning a monolith system to a set of microservices would be a distinct advantage as would knowledge of serverless functions like AWS Lambda/Azure Functions/GCP functions. A good grounding in messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ etc.) and a good understanding of Service Security Protocols (OAuth2, SAML etc.) would be good
