Technical Bid Manager/Senior Bid Writer - Public Sector Focused

Duration: Permanent

Location: Hybrid - 2 days a week onsite (Bromley)

Salary: £60000 per annum + 10% performance bonus

Job Summary:

Digital Skills is partnered with a growing IT consultancy who are seeking a skilled, experienced, and passionate Bid Manager to head up their bid activities by preparing and submitting competitive bids for IT opportunities, with a particular focus on the UK Public Sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the triage of the initial tender opportunity, through to development and submission of a final proposal, ensuring alignment with client specifications.
  • Manage and generate well-polished' presentations as needed as part of the Client selection process and present bid strategies to senior management.
  • Coordinate with sales, technical, operational teams as well as external stakeholders to gather necessary information and resources for bid preparation.
  • Analyse RFPs (Request for Proposals), RFIs (Request for Information), and other tender documents to understand client requirements, evaluate feasibility to bid.
  • Write and edit technical documents, ensuring clarity, compliance, and compelling value propositions.
  • Conduct risk assessments for potential projects, proposing mitigation strategies where necessary.
  • Oversee the post-submission process, including handling clarifications, negotiations, and presentations to clients.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least five years proven experience in managing and leading technical bids within the IT industry, with a particular focus on Public Sector Frameworks.
  • Excellent project management, organisational, and time-management skills, coupled with exceptional communication skills, creative, editing, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple bids simultaneously with exceptional time management.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive approach with the independence required to work in a fast-paced environment.
