Vibrant data division of major insurance organisation is looking for a Head of Data Platform to help drive forward data platform initiatives. We are looking for an experienced Head of Data Platform to own the Data Platform and to drive further development and roadmap delivery. As the Head of Data Platform, you will lead the team of Data Platform ensuring the delivery of large-scale insurance data focused products and services, removing potential blockers and mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and understanding across all areas of Data Platform
• Own the performance, monitoring, execution, and issue management for the platform
• Maintain and deliver data products and services to the business, making sure business requirements are met and delivered products/services are secure and reliable
• Establish appropriate tools, standards, and best practices of Data Platform delivery to the business

Key Skills - Azure, APIs, Databricks

• Proven track record heading up data platforms and supporting the business to gain true insight from data
• Azure experience and ideally databricks experience
• Deep experience in successfully deploying emerging data technology stacks such as MS Fabric and AI.
• Insurance experience ideal but not essential
• Experience in Agile project environment
• Need to understand DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous improvement
• Oversee the Architectural changes
