Duration: 6 Months FTC (Hybrid 3-4 days on site)

Location: Derby

Salary: Up to £350 UMB per day

Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client based in Derby. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 3 days a week required onsite.

The Ideal HR Business Partner will possess strong analytical skills to interpret HR Data and trends, a sold background in managing complex employee relations (ER) cases and the ability to work effectively in a unionised environment. This role requires someone who can build relationships quickly, adapt to ambiguity and has up-to-date knowledge of HR legislation.

The duties of the HR Business Partner include:

Analysing HR Metrics and trends to provide insights that support business decisions
Developing and presenting regular HR reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and potential areas of concern
Using data-driven approaches to inform HR strategies and initiatives
Managing complex employee relations cases including grievances, disciplinary etc.
Providing expert advice to line managers on ER issues ensuring compliance with current employment law and best practice is adhered to
Acting as the primary HR point of contact for escalated ER issues within the project scope
Ensuring all HR policies and procedures are compliant with current legislation
Advising and supporting management on legal implications from HR issues and recommend appropriate courses of action where appropriate
Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders of all levels
Acted as a trusted advisor to management, offering guidance on HR-Related Matters
Leading and supporting the HR aspects of post-TUPE transfer activities
Ensuring a smooth transition and integration of employees, addressing any concerns and aligning processes
Providing ongoing support to transferred employees and management to ensure compliance and smooth operations
Engaging with union representatives to maintain positive working relationships.
Managing and negotiate collective agreements, ensuring alignment with the business objectives

The HR Business Partner will ideally have:

CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
Experience of working in a public sector organisation is desirable
Experience of post-TUPE consultation is essential
Experience of managing complex casework in all ER is essential

The HR Business Partner will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
