ISO Auditor

Akkodis are currently working in partnership with a leading service provider to recruit an experienced ISO Auditor to play a crucial role in ensuring our client complies with ISO standards, which are internationally recognised frameworks for quality management, environmental management, information security, and more.

The Role

As the ISO Auditor you will plan, conduct, and report on internal audits in line with ISO standards. This role involves evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant ISO standards (eg, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001). This role will work closely with various departments to identify areas of improvement and ensure continuous enhancement of the management systems.

The Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring a data led approach to solutions.
• Ensure the organisation adheres to all ISO standards and maintains high accreditation status.
• Support the arrangement of external audits, including preparing teams, coordinating dates and availability, and communicating relevant information.
• Generate detailed reports on audit findings, highlighting both best practices and areas for improvement.
• Identify the root causes of any non-conformances and develop improvement plans to address and rectify them.
• Support the implementation of corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of security incidents.
• Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits in accordance with ISO standards and the organisation's audit plan.
• Develop and update audit checklists and audit plans based on relevant ISO standards.
• Examine and evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of the internal control systems.
• Oversee the ISMS Information Security Management System and Quality Management System, ensuring its continuous effectiveness and relevance within the organisation.
• Maintenance of the Corrective Actions Log, Risk Registers, Legal Register, ISO Objectives, and Performance Monitoring.
• Assist in the development and revision of policies, procedures, and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with ISO standards.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on ISO standards, audit processes, and best practices.
• Stay up to date with changes in ISO standards and update our organisation's practices accordingly.

The Requirements

• Proven experience as an Internal Auditor or similar role, preferably with a focus on ISO standards.
• Experience with ISO management systems and conducting audits
• Experience of internal auditing.
• Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for training and awareness initiatives.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, or relevant ISO certification is preferred
