Simulation Support Engineer needed to support customers using 'training simulation systems'. Start ASAP during Summer/Autumn 2024.
A field based support role, based from home with frequent site visits to customers located primarily in London and SE England.
A chance to join a global business supplying training simulation systems for the Rail, Automotive and Aerospace sectors.
Key experience + responsibilities include:
- Supporting and maintaining 'training simulation systems' for a global provider of simulation solutions for the transportation sector (Rail, Automotive, Aerospace).
- Diagnosis, repair, maintenance + tech support for training simulation systems based at various customer sites located UK-wide (including London + SE England).
- Working with clients to analyse, clarify and resolve technical issues.
- Support + maintenance for PLC hardware/software, serial communication interfaces (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485), current loop + Ethernet.
- Hands-on technical experience of Windows-based environments including: software installation/maintenance, device drivers, PC hardware, Scripting + networking.
- Any experience of wiring harness design/build + installation of complex cabling systems would be advantageous.
- The Person: analytical, logical, attention to detail, customer-focused, relationship building, working independently, time management, organisation, problem fixes.
