Senior Finance Officer

Hull

£22 per hour (umbrella)

Full Time Contract (4 months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Senior Finance Officer in Hull. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

Responsible for the compilation, maintenance and accounting of the organisations' Capital Programme including short and medium term forecasting, budgeting and monthly reporting
Responsible for the delivering capital budget monitoring information to Service Heads, and the compilation of corporate monitoring thereby meeting the needs of the Corporate Management Team
To perform monthly and annual accounting activities including balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting and data analysis
Access and maintenance of the general ledger, daily dealings of working capital through the treasury systems process

The candidate:

Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or equivalent level of qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 4)
A good understanding of finance systems (preferably Oracle) in a controlled environment and experience of working with standardised processes
Previous experience working in a similar capacity for a local authority is desirable
Strong Excel skills are essential
