Network Engineer - 6 months Rolling - Hamburg (Relocation Support)

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join a dynamic team in Hamburg for a leading telecommunications company.

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site networking support, including racking and stacking equipment, configuring hardware, and ensuring smooth operations of Switches, Routers, and Firewalls. Your expertise in commissioning and knowledge of protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS will be crucial in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide networking field support, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment.
• Perform racking and stacking of networking hardware in data centres and remote sites.
• Configure Switches, Routers, and Firewalls to meet project requirements and ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct commissioning activities to verify the functionality and integrity of network installations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver effective networking solutions.
• Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for reference and future maintenance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Switches, Routers, Firewalls, and other networking hardware.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
