Your new role
This position will require you to have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of bookkeeping as well as preparing quarterly VAT returns for a wide variety of clients.

This will include:

• Posting purchase and sales invoices and matching bank transactions within various software packages.
• Maintaining the quarterly VAT returns for your own client base.
• Preparing year-end accounts for manager review including balance sheet reconciliations, PAYE, VAT, corporation tax etc.
• Preparing self-assessment tax returns for clients

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have Practice experience and have completed or be part-way through AAT/ACCA/ACA.
Industry candidates will be considered if they hold a keen desire to move into Practice with a solid background in bookkeeping and bank reconciliation.
A willingness to learn and share knowledge with the junior members of the team.
Experience in software packages: IRIS (Desirable) Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
