We are seeking an experience Loan Officer to assist members with their consumer lending needs; analyze loan requests and make credit decisions based on lending policy.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Analyzes current financial position of members to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Makes decision to approve, disapprove, or forward the loan request to higher levels for decision.
Interviews member loan applicants to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition.
Establishes the terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews them with the member.
Explains loan programs to members, evaluates their needs and recommends loan options.
Prepares and/or reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy for signing and loan distribution.
Follows current loans to ensure compliance with terms and legal requirements.
Cross-sells Credit Union services to members.
Participates in sales development activities.
Keeps informed of current trends in consumer credit.
Meets and exceeds established incentive goals each month.
